Laravel Vs PHP- Which One Is Better For You?

This can seem like an odd statement coming from an engineer on their personal site about which one they prefer. However, there are some good reasons for my feelings on which one I prefer over the other. Let's take an in depth look at both of these frameworks and see what makes each different from its counterpart.

1) Advantages of Laravel

Laravel is free to use and gives you an amazing framework that helps you create quality applications in a short time. With Laravel, you don’t have to worry about anything because it comes with tons of features and tools. However, Laravel can be challenging for newcomers; but it doesn’t mean that there aren’t other options available. If working with complex systems like Laravel is beyond your expertise, then Php could be your best bet.

2) Disadvantages of Laravel

The main disadvantage of Laravel is that it’s not open source. Therefore, if you don’t have any support staff available for Laravel development, hiring will be more difficult. But there are many software companies which provide dedicated support for Laravel to its clients. So if you are looking to hire laravel developers then it won’t be a problem because Laravel is popular among developers.

3) Advantages of PHP

To begin with, it’s important to mention that there are thousands of software applications and websites built using PHP. It’s one of the most popular programming languages used today and is among those that serve as a base for larger frameworks such as Laravel. This particular framework, which stands for libraries, APIs, and web services has become very popular within recent years as more programmers discover its potential uses.

4) Disadvantages of PHP

The main disadvantage of using PHP is that it isn’t as efficient or robust as other languages. It’s also not natively supported by major cloud providers like Amazon Web Services, Microsoft Azure, and Google Cloud Platform, although there are ways to use it with these platforms. Finally, compared to other web programming languages, PHP has more basic functionality built in—things you have to build on your own if you were using something else.

5) Should you hire a Laravel developer or a PHP developer?

Since there are quite a few factors that determine your decision on whether we should hire PHP developer or laravel developer, it’s difficult to say one is better than another. Laravel tends to be more favored by large companies since it has over three million downloads. But being widely used isn’t enough reason for you to choose Laravel or not—it all depends on what you need out of your website. If speed is an issue, then go with PHP; but if SEO, design elements and security are important to you, then Laravel could be a better option for you. Both frameworks have their pros and cons but only your dedicated development team can decide which one fits into your project goals best. However, there are certainly some reasons why one could be better than another in certain circumstances

6) Other factors to consider when hiring developers

If you’re looking to hire a development company, there are other factors to consider in addition to language. A great development company should be able to help you determine which programming language or framework is right for your business and your budget.

Conclusion

The choice between Laravel development and PHP development depends entirely on your personal preferences. If you’re looking for a language to make your website more interactive, Laravel may be what you need. But if you’re building a simple landing page, PHP may be easier and faster for development.
